GBSC LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
Modern Marketing Concepts is the primary sponsor of the Greater Binghamton Scholastic Challenge (GBSC). In early December, the GBSC launched an updated website at www.mmcgbsc.com. The new site features program information and updates, resources and forms for teachers and students, a slide show of photos from last year’s program, and a list of community businesses that support the program.

Modern Marketing Concepts’ Building Products Division presents a monthly Call of Fame award to the employee whose sales or service phone call had the biggest impact on the division that month. For December, the winner was Shane Decker, who made an outstanding call on behalf of an HVAC client.

For November, the winner was Mary Bowen, who made an outstanding call on behalf of an aerial imagery client.


MMC BUILDING PRODUCTS “GOLDEN HEADSET” WINNER FOR NOVEMBER
Modern Marketing Concepts’ Building Products Division has a monthly Golden Headset contest for its sales representatives. This contest is based on representatives making sales-related goals on a daily basis. For November, Kyle Grahame was the Golden Headset winner for his consistent high productivity and call quality on behalf of a building materials client.

EARTHSPONSE ANNOUNCES JOINT VENTURE
Earthsponse, a renewable energy products subsidiary of Modern Marketing Concepts, announced in October that it has established a joint venture with a large HVAC manufacturer. Earthsponse will be marketing its products to over 10,000 HVAC contractors on an annual basis.

MMC HELPS CLIENT ACHIEVE 60% SALES GROWTH
In June, Modern Marketing Concepts implemented its Channel Lift program for a major roofing manufacturer. In the first four months of the program, we have been able to help this manufacturer increase its year-over-year sales by nearly 60%. Our Channel Lift program helps clients reach a large number of customers to build product awareness, interest, and demand.

MMC EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNER
Modern Marketing Concepts presented Joe Morabito with an Excellence Award for his sales efforts on behalf of a roofing materials client. Joe has been working with an Ohio-based roofing contractor who was using a competitor’s roofing materials. Joe sent the contractor a coupon for a free square of our client’s shingles and persuaded him to try out the shingles. The contractor has since committed to using more of the shingles in his business, which installs up to 100 roofs a year.

EARTHSPONSE EXHIBITS AT SPIEDIE FEST
Earthsponse, a renewable energy products subsidiary of Modern Marketing Concepts, exhibited at the Spiedie Fest & Balloon Rally in Binghamton on August 5 through 7. Earthsponse representatives spoke to hundreds of attendees, many of whom were unaware how affordable solar energy has become. The Spiedie Fest features food, hot-air balloons, music, entertainment, and numerous vendors. More than 100,000 people attend the festival each year.  

 

MMC REPRESENTS AERIAL IMAGERY CLIENT AT SOLAR EXPO
In July, Modern Marketing Concepts represented an aerial imagery client at the Intersolar North America Expo in San Francisco, which focuses on photovoltaic and solar thermal technologies. This client’s web-based technology provides a vast library of 3-D-like, high-resolution aerial images that enable solar contractors to quickly, easily, and accurately calculate solar exposure, panel placement, sizing, roof pitch, and square footage.  

 

MMC CONTINUES ROLLOUT OF MYMARKETER AT HEATING AND ENERGY EXPO
In June, Modern Marketing Concepts employees attended the New England Fuel Institute's 34th North American Heating and Energy Expo in Boston. The expo’s organizers called the event a “resounding success, with a bustling show floor full of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors.” MMC showcased its MyMarketer program, which is part of its Channel HVAC product. MyMarketer combines database contact information, marketing analytics, creative services, and multichannel marketing to provide a complete sales and marketing engine.  

 

MMC REPRESENTS AERIAL IMAGERY CLIENT AT ROOFING AND SHEET METAL EXPO
In June, Modern Marketing Concepts represented an aerial imagery client at the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo in Orlando. This is the second-largest show of its kind in the country. Last year, more than 2,200 roofing and sheet metal contractors, building officials, architects, and industry suppliers attended the show. This client’s web-based technology provides a vast library of 3-D-like, high-resolution aerial images that enable roofers to view and measure roofs from multiple directions, without leaving their desks. As a result, roofers can react and respond to opportunities faster than their competitors.  

 

MMC ROLLS OUT MYMARKETER TO FUEL OIL MARKETPLACE
In June, Modern Marketing Concepts employees attended the Atlantic Region Energy Expo in Atlantic City, N.J. MMC introduced its MyMarketer program to the fuel oil marketplace. There were over 4,000 fuel oil industry representatives in attendance. MyMarketer is a part of MMC’s Channel HVAC product. Channel HVAC combines database contact information, marketing analytics, creative services, and multichannel marketing to provide a complete sales and marketing engine.  

 

MMC REPRESENTS AERIAL IMAGERY CLIENT AT INSURANCE TRADE SHOW
In June, Modern Marketing Concepts represented an aerial imagery client at the Northeast’s largest insurance trade show. This client’s web-based technology provides a vast library of 3-D-like, high-resolution aerial images that enable insurance agents to view and measure property sites from multiple directions, without leaving their desks. As a result, insurance agents and brokers can react and respond to opportunities faster than their competitors.

 

MMC HELPS AERIAL IMAGERY CLIENT EXPAND OFFERING TO SOLAR CONTRACTORS
In late March, Modern Marketing Concepts helped an aerial imagery client roll out its web-based technology to solar contractors. The client, which offers a vast library of 3-D-like, high-resolution aerial images, is enabling solar contractors to quickly, easily, and accurately calculate solar exposure, panel placement, sizing, roof pitch, and square footage—information that is essential for positioning panels for maximum sun exposure and energy output. Determining whether or not a home or commercial building is suitable for mounting solar panels is an important part of the job. Using this aerial imagery, solar contractors can prequalify jobs right from their computers.

 

MMC EMPLOYEES ATTEND AHR EXPO
In late January and early February, Modern Marketing Concepts employees Scott Kay, Roman Passante, Marty Mirtallo, and Tony Sidor attended the 63rd International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating (AHR) Expo in Las Vegas. The AHR Expo attracts thousands of attendees from all segments of the HVAC industry—including contractors, engineers, dealers, distributors/wholesalers, equipment manufacturers, architects, and builders. MMC is committed to keeping up with the latest trends and happenings in the HVAC industry in order to provide the best service to its HVAC clients.

 

MMC EMPLOYEES ATTEND ROOFING EXPO
In mid-February, several Modern Marketing Concepts employees attended the International Roofing Expo (IRE) in Las Vegas to demonstrate a customer's patented aerial imagery program. This customer is the leading provider of oblique, geo-referenced aerial imaging and measuring technology. Roofing contractors saw demonstrations in how to remotely measure structures and calculate estimates using the web-based program. This program enables users to view a vast library of 3-D-like, high-resolution aerial images to accurately obtain roof measurements. The images represent a vantage point of about 2,000 feet high.

MMC ANNOUNCES GRADUATES OF HEALTHCARE UNIVERSITY
Modern Marketing Concepts announced in October that five employees of its Healthcare Division graduated from the company’s Healthcare University. Mandy Dibble, Misty Incitti, John Gell, Suzanne Spivey, and Loris Cabrera passed the exam for the Registered Medical Sales Representative (RMSR) designation. MMC serves numerous clients in the healthcare industry.

For September, the winner was Theresa Sanfilippo, who made an outstanding call on behalf of a cardiac-anticoagulation-monitoring client.

MMC INITIATES VIDEOCONFERENCING FOR HEALTHCARE CLIENT
In August, Modern Marketing Concepts’ Healthcare Division employees Katie Kerr and Loris Cabrera began using videoconferencing to demonstrate products for an advanced wound care client. They reached out to customers as far away as the Virgin Islands. MMC Healthcare Trainer Phyllis Whiting helped develop the product demos.

Modern Marketing Concepts’ Healthcare Division presents a monthly Call of Fame award to the employee whose sales or service phone call had the biggest impact on the division that month. For the inaugural award in July, the winner was Vanessa McGehee, who made an outstanding call on behalf of a surgical glove client.  

 

MMC ANNOUNCES GRADUATES OF HEALTHCARE UNIVERSITY
Modern Marketing Concepts announced in July that five employees of its Healthcare Division graduated from the company’s Healthcare University. Vanessa McGehee, Valerie McDonald, James Gonda, Matt Montague, and Phyllis Whiting passed the exam for the Registered Medical Sales Representative (RMSR) designation. They are the first group of Healthcare University students to receive the RMSR designation. MMC serves numerous clients in the healthcare industry.  

 

MMC MAKES DENTAL SALE IN ALASKA
In June, a Modern Marketing Concepts healthcare representative made a large sale on behalf of a dental products client. The representative arranged a Lunch and Learn session for a dental practice in Alaska. This session, which included a pizza delivered to the Alaskans, was conducted using a webcam and Glance (a remote sales presentation program). The following day, the dental practice placed a large order. Although it is more than 3,000 miles from MMC, the dental practice received the same experience it would have if the representative was on-site.  

 

MMC PRODUCES KIT FOR VETERINARY USE
In June, Modern Marketing Concepts delivered a Welcome Kit that it developed for an animal health client. The kit includes a welcome letter to new veterinary practice customers, branded magnets, and informational guides for consumer use. MMC produced the kit entirely in-house, from concept to printing. The client said the final product was of “great quality.” MMC offers a full range of creative and printing services for its clients. These services include branding, copywriting, graphic design, direct marketing, website development, and digital printing  

 

MMC ASSISTS ENTERAL FEEDING CLIENT WITH OFFICIAL PRODUCT TRIAL
In June, Modern Marketing Concepts announced that it assisted an enteral feeding client with an official product trial. This was MMC’s first official trial of this product on behalf of the client. The trial is being held at a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. MMC conducted the entire trial setup process over the phone and used a webcam to make an in-service presentation to the physician who is overseeing the trial.  

 

MMC EMPLOYEES COMPLETE TRAINING FOR RMSR EXAM
In June, 17 employees of Modern Marketing Concepts’ Healthcare Division completed coursework related to the Registered Medical Sales Representative (RMSR) exam. These employees are now eligible to take the 150-question exam. Twice a year, MMC enrolls and pays for its healthcare sales representatives to attend in-house training for the RMSR exam. The RMSR designation is issued by the National Association of Medical Sales Representatives.  

 

MMC’S HEALTHCARE UNIVERSITY PROVIDES EXTENSIVE TRAINING FOR EMPLOYEES
Modern Marketing Concepts serves numerous clients in the healthcare industry. To ensure that its sales representatives are well equipped for this highly technical and highly regulated field, MMC has its own Healthcare University. This in-house training program operates in conjunction with the National Association of Medical Sales Representatives, which issues the Registered Medical Sales Representative (RMSR) designation. RMSR covers a wide range of topics, such as surgical techniques, clinical studies, regulatory guidelines, managed care, call planning, territory management, and presentation skills. MMC’s RMSR training sessions begin in January and June and last six months. The training includes 15 hours of classroom instruction and 40 to 50 hours of self-study to prepare for the RMSR exam. Each participant receives a 330-page training manual containing industry and product information required for healthcare sales.
 

MMC HELPS CLIENT EXPAND INTO HEALTHCARE MARKET
In February, Modern Marketing Concepts began making calls on behalf of a customer who is a leading supplier of uniforms, cleaning supplies, and related products to businesses. MMC is helping this customer enter the healthcare market by making calls to identify prospects and set up appointments for the customer's field sales representatives.

 

MMC WELCOMES NEW HEALTHCARE CUSTOMER
In February, Modern Marketing Concepts welcomed a new customer to its healthcare division. This customer offers a complete range of enteral feeding products to meet specific clinical needs in the hospital, nursing home, and home care markets.

 

NEW CLIENT FITS LIKE A GLOVE
MMC is proud to announce a new healthcare client. They are a global manufacturer of surgical gloves, and an exciting new addition to our Healthcare Division. The team hit the ground running back in July and will soon call on hospitals, surgical centers, physician’s offices, clinics, and smaller facilities to drive brand awareness and introduce a variety of new products. It's another MMC team win.

 
DENTAL CLIENT MAKES US SMILE
Dental manufacturer grows it's relationship with MMC! After six months, thirteen states, and a 40% increase in sales of focus products, we've been asked to cover two additional states as well as brand new territory. Of course, the good news doesn't stop there. We've added a new team member to help drive the expansion.
